Fashion Editor in Chief of Vogue Magazine Anna Wintour is the reason behind the success of "Fashions Night Out."
With the recent struggle that the ecnomoy is going through, the fashion/retail business has taken a hard hit.
Anna Wintour idea was to help and preserve the fashion industry as a whole. In her mind it's more than just recognizing top designers that we have a fondness for. Its more than just getting consumers to go out and shop in these tough time. Her vision is to celebrate the people behind the scenes that don't get the gratitude and thanks behind the "brand name."
Anna Wintour idea is for consumers to see the bigger picture. She expresses that if it wasn't for the delivery workers, warehouse workers, packagers, architects that bring there locations to life, design team, retail stores and sellers, and all the small minor details that consumers may overlook, the fashion world would be in a frenzie.
Fashion's Night Out which was first hosted in 2009. The theme is to uplift the fashion economy and to give "the people" an oppurtunity to party in the streets of NYC, LA, Houston, Miami, Paris, Japan and 100 more destinations around the country! Anna Wintour pulled out her major ammo and got her collegues involved. She reached out to designers such as: Diane Von Furstenbreg, Oscar De La Rente, Tory Burch, and Tommy Hilfiger just to name a few. Her conrads were thrilled about the idea and hence Anna Wintour and her power team went into prep mode to launch "Fashions Night Out!"
